Why am I blogging each and every day this month, when I only posted once in the month of September, and not even once during the month of October? Well...
During the day I often search blogs. How do I do this being a...

Firefighter? I work for a small department that doesn't run many calls. A little under 900 total calls for last year. Compounding the slowness is that currently, I am stationed at our Station Three, which runs WAY less than the other two stations. So I have time to search blogs, and see what is going on out there on the Information Superhighway. What I have found is that most of it is a vast wasteland, but there are a few interesting things out there, if you know where to look for them. For instance, I found a weblog that declares the month of November as National Blog Posting Month. Read it about it here.
There are lots of prizes to be won out there, but I do this not for the prizes, but for reasons too lengthy to post here. Okay, who am I kidding? I am at lunch at a super-slow fire house, so that's reason number one. The others have to do with fulfilling an obligation, keeping friends and family up to date, yadda, yadda, yadda...
And so, seven days in, and I am struggling. It's hard to come up with things to write about. Sure, I could write about politics, sports, the weather, or other topics, but then people just get mad at you.
This should get somewhat easier when Joshua decides to join us.
When will that be?
