Let's Party Like Rock Stars!
The place: The Forest. The time: Around 11ish. The reason: Deb's birthday party! Whoo-Hoo!
My in-laws, Megan's Dad and step-Mom moved from Pennsylvania to a town not far from us, so we get to see them often. This past weekend was Deb's birthday, and Megan's Dad wanted to throw her a surprise party. Let's start with the surprise...
I snapped this photo of Deb, as her son Garrett came around the corner. She looked at him, didn't react, and then, all of a sudden -- there's one of her boys!
The surprises kept coming, as earlier in the day, Abby showed up with one of Deb's friends from Pennsylvania, who brought toys for the kids! Bubbles! Thanks Sandy!
Deb's other two boys, Mitch and Max were there, along with Mitch's fiancee Laura and Max's kids, Katie and Jordan. Keir and Jen were there, as was Caroline.
Larry (Megan's Dad) was there, of course, and he cooked up a storm! Sausages, hot dogs, hamburgers, and all sorts of munchies...It was perfect!
But what made it soooo perfect was the utter cuteness that we witnessed on Saturday. Here...Witness it for yourself!
Cuteness is awesome, but it will only get you so far. To get you through the rest of the way, CAKE!
Jonah and I shared a piece...It was so delicious!
So as the afternoon wore on, little boys and girls became monsters, and it was time to leave. But not before one big family picture!
And as any parent will tell you, monsters turn into sleeping monsters, who aren't really monsters anymore. Just cute, adorable, wonderful little people who have had, as we say in the South, a large day. Happy Birthday Deb!
