A Bullet Dodged, Perhaps?
While New Orleans took a direct hit from Hurricane Katrina three years ago, Hurricane Gustav only gave the Big Easy a glancing blow. Punishing and devastating, but not a direct hit. There is a lot of good news in that, of course, but as we know, news is slow to get out, even in this world of 24 hour media coverage. It seems as if some of the levees are straining, and right now, are holding, but for how long is anyone's guess.
We are still hoping for the best, as we watch Hurricane Hannah ramp up and head towards us.
We will keep you posted.
By the way, the big news is coming...Stay tuned...
